Making proposals easier to review
The project focused on how pharmaceutical teams submit and review proposals for drug development. Each proposal brought together details such as the molecule, target markets, supporting documents, and expert feedback.
In pharma, coordinating teams, choosing molecules, predicting drug interactions and side effects, and optimising production are all difficult. These problems slow down the path to market, raise costs, and delay new treatments for patients.
The design task was to organise that information and make the steps from submission to approval clear.
Bringing the workflow into one place
I designed the flows for creating a proposal, adding documents, and following its review. The platform brought project details, comments, tasks, and approvals into a shared workspace.
The proposal flow included both manual entry and an AI-assisted starting point. From a prompt, the AI assigned a development path and the right people, then tracked the proposal's progress.
The platform also used AI to help select drug candidates, analyse possible drug interactions to improve patient safety, evaluate market data, and optimise production. The aim was to shorten the time needed to bring new drugs to market.

How I worked
Defining the scope
I worked with stakeholders to understand their requirements, agree on priorities, and define the MVP.
Building the prototype
I mapped the flows in a clickable prototype and reviewed them with the product owner and future users.
Designing the interface
I developed the visual identity and style guide, then applied them to the detailed screens.
Preparing for development
I documented the screen behaviour in user stories and prepared the designs for developers and QA.

Reviewing the flows with users
We used the early prototype to walk through the workflows with the product owner and people from the team who would use the platform. The sessions showed that the proposal path relied entirely on manual input, with no automation, and that the vocabulary was too complicated. Their feedback informed revisions before I moved on to the detailed interface designs.

The review process
The topic page brought the proposal details, attachments, expert comments, and approval path together. Reviewers could examine the information and follow the proposal's status in the same view.

What I delivered
I delivered the prototype within the agreed deadline, alongside the interface designs, style guide, and handoff documentation.
